The Associations serve as a point of connection between past and present students, staff, parents, and the community to raise funds for the school and foster a community of support.

I formed the Williamstown High Association (WSHA) after the WHESSA disbanded. Recruited new members, association incorporation, prepared the articles of association and the strategic plan.

Notably, I helped draft the new articles of association and charter, ensuring compliance with the Victorian Government Associations Act. Managed committee meetings, agendas, minutes, and annual returns. Organised the election of officer-bearers at the AGM. Established the social media presence. Fundraising and organising the school’s 100th anniversary celebration.

In the roles I oversaw governance and operations, including annual planning and budgeting, managing financial accounts, and compliance with the party constitution and policy, as well as the electoral commission regulations. Led policy development, electorate activities and events, electorate and government liaison, fundraising, membership development, managing the annual general meeting, election of office-bearers, candidate pre-selection conventions, mentoring members, managing disputes, and addressing issues.
Election Campaign Manager
As campaign manager for the 1992 Legislative Council Province of Melbourne West at the Victorian state election. And, the 2014 and 2018 State electorate of Altona. Election campaign manager for the Federal elections in the 2016 Lalor electorate, the 2019 Gellibrand electorate, and the 2022 Fraser electorate campaigns.
I organised and led the campaign for the electorate, reporting to the State or Federal campaign director. Responsibilities:
Strategic planning, creating the electorate campaign plan, targeting key voter demographics, shaping the candidate’s message, and adapting tactics as circumstances change.
Operations & logistics, managing the electorate staff, organising volunteers and overseeing event and election day logistics. Hire, train, and lead a diverse team of staff and volunteers, including field organisers and communications experts.
Fundraising & finance, managing compliance with party funding policy and the electoral commissions finance regulations. Ensuring the campaign manages budgets, monitors expenses and meets campaign financial goals.
Communications & media, managing community liaison, public relations, social media, and campaign materials across digital platforms, social media, print, and traditional media, to support the campaign message, build voter support, and ensure it resonates with voters.
Field operations, coordinating grassroots activities, voter contact and integrating local field outreach with the national or state strategy.
Governance & reporting, chairing campaign meetings, and meeting party and electorate commission campaign reporting. Identify and mitigate political and financial risks while ensuring compliance with strict legal and electoral requirements.
Candidate support, providing advice and daily counsel to the candidate, managing their schedule, and preparing them for public appearances and media opportunities.
